Le Mas is an award-winning 16th century 5-bedroom farmhouse and Le Mazet a cottage perfect for a two,
which can also be rented together for up to 13 guests. They are situated near Monpazier, only 35 minutes from Bergerac Airport.
Le Mas & Le Mazet are the perfect base to explore all the castles, markets, prehistoric caves, wineries and restaurants that the Dordogne has to offer.

Le Mas

Le Mas is a characterful farmhouse with 5 bedrooms each with an en suite bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 people. Alternatively, Le Mas can be rented together with Le Mazet for up to 13 people.

The summer kitchen looks out over your own private, heated, saltwater swimming pool and the stunning Dordogne countryside. It has a gas barbecue, a table seating 12 and a sun terrace scented with jasmine. The garden offers space to play, relax, enjoy the sun and beautiful roses, wisteria, lavender and mature trees.

Inside Le Mas there is a large family kitchen and comfortable sitting room, both with huge fireplaces. The house is well-equipped and comes with WiFi, satellite flat screen TV, portable speaker, dishwasher, washing machine, central heating, table tennis, a pétanque court; all bed-linen and towels are provided.

Le Mas has been awarded 5-stars and is described by The Telegraph as a “luxurious rural retreat…superb”. We can arrange for a private chef to cook for you, wine tasting, morning deliveries from the baker and lots more, to make your holiday perfect.

Le Mazet

Le Mazet is a charming detached cottage with 1 bedroom with an en suite bathroom, sleeping 2 people. There is a sitting room with open kitchen on the upper ground floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the lower ground floor.

The views from the cottage and its private garden, across the valley to the village church and chateau are glorious. Le Mazet does not have use of the pool, but does have sun loungers, parasol, charcoal barbecue, table and chairs in the garden to enjoy yourselves. Lavender grows at the base of the walls, with fragrant roses and jasmine climbing up them.

Inside there is a double-height sitting room with stone walls, beams and a large fireplace with wood-burner. The open kitchen is well-equipped and there is WiFi, satellite flat screen TV, portable speaker, dishwasher, washing machine, heating throughout, table tennis,  pétanque court, and all bed-linen and towels are provided.

Le Mazet has 4-stars, described by The Times as a ”cosy cottage”. We can arrange for pre-prepared meals to await your arrival, massages, morning deliveries from the baker and lots more.

COVID-19 cancellation policy

If, due to COVID-19, the French government either closes Le Mas & Le Mazet or restricts travel in France for the reason of going on holiday, then you can either rebook or receive a full refund, whichever you prefer.
